Can Marion and Wade bring us back from shame? The Trade Analysis
HEAT fans, as we all know we acquired Shawn Marion from the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday for Shaq. Pat Riley has already said that the Wade-Marion duo reminds him of the Jordan-Pippen duo. IF he’s for real or anything close to that they can bring up this beat-down Miami club and put us on the map again.
Marion is averaging 16 points per game, 10 rebounds per game, and 2 assists per game. Wade in the other hand is averaging 24 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, and 7 assists per game. O’neal when he was with us he was averaging 14 points per game (a career low), 8 rebounds per game, and 1 assist per game.
So yes, I love the big fella but we totally ripped the Suns off and they still don’t know. but they will… as soon as the playoffs come along and O’Neal is sitting on the bench in one of his nice suits and still getting paid that 20 million dollars per year.
On the other hand, We here in Miami hope the The Marion-Wade era doesn’t end at the end of the season with Marion opting out of his contract. IF he does opt out of the contract, we will have A LOT of money to use on the free agents like AGENT ZERO (Gilbert Arenas) and others. But if Riley keeps Marion here we will have great years ahead of us.
One more thing, I bet that Shaq’s “Hip Injury” will be all better as soon as he puts on a Suns uniform.. What do you guys think? Pat Riley is a genius. He got rid of O’neal at the right time. If he kept him here longer, the same thing that happened in LA with Kobe would happen here with Wade, and we do not want that to happen. Again Kudos to Pat for getting this much needed trade!!
